We at Quaid-i-Azam
University Islamabad
have a leading
research group in Newtonian and non-Newtonian Fluid mechanics and
Biomechanics.
In particular we deal with the mathematical modeling of initial
boundary value
problem in Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, in peristaltic motion,
in blood
flow and gliding motion of bacterium. We use analytical,
semi-analytical and
computational techniques to develop the solutions of these flow
problems. We
have more than 320 ISI international publications. The group has
produced 20 PhD and 140 M. Phil students up to yet. Presently, 17 PhD
and 16 M. Phil
students are doing their research work. Several graduates of this group
are
already serving in various R & D organizations and public and
private
sector universities and colleges. Fluid mechanics group (FMG) faculty
comprises
of nation’s top most researchers in the field. All FMG members are
facilitated
with well equipped computer lab and up to date library. We are holding
an
international conference every year to promote research collaboration,
research
environment and to deliberate on latest trends in Fluid mechanics and
Biomechanics.
Our group is actively engaged in collaborating with leading experts of
the
field at the national and international levels. Leading researchers in
fluid mechanics from the advanced countries are visiting our group
